Bob Copps, a member of Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group, focuses his practice on private equity, mergers and acquisitions, finance and securities, and general corporate representation. He regularly represents public companies, private companies, private equity firms and venture capital firms in a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including merger and acquisition transactions, leveraged buyouts, venture capital investments, fund formation, fund investments and other matters.

Bob is a member of Sutherland’s Private Equity Team, comprising attorneys from the firm’s various practice areas who focus on private equity clients in connection with matters such as fund formation, acquisitions and dispositions.

Bob is the Chair of Sutherland’s New York Hiring Committee. He also serves on the firm’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, Professional Development Committee and Legal Opinion Committee.
