Rob Plowden, a member of Sutherland’s Real Estate Practice Group, has extensive experience in all aspects of commercial real estate and regularly represents clients in purchase and sale, development, leasing and joint venture transactions for office, industrial, retail, multi-family and mixed-use real estate projects located throughout the United States. He has particular proficiency in developing and leasing data centers, contact centers and colocation facilities.  He also has substantial experience with health care real estate, including transactions involving imaging centers, ambulatory surgery centers and medical office buildings.

Rob is accredited by the U.S. Green Building Council as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional (LEED AP). As a LEED AP, Rob advises developers and owners on the LEED process and on “green” legal issues generally.

Rob’s clients include developers, pension funds and their advisors, a real estate investment trust (REIT) specializing in multi-family developments, and one of the world’s largest retailers. He has handled transactions throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.

In addition, Rob serves on Sutherland’s Climate Change law team, working with clients to identify and capitalize on opportunities and respond to business challenges impacted by climate change policies and regulations.
