Sutherland Partner Cynthia M. Krus, vice chair of corporate and financial services practices, is speaking at the REISA Spring Symposium, March 11-12, 2012 in Costa Mesa, California. She has been involved in numerous securities offerings and also advises companies on the structure and formation of various entities and the establishment and operation of private and public venture equity, including Business Development Companies (BDCs).
Cynthia’s first presentation, titled “The Case for BDC Program Investments,” provides an introduction to the BDC asset class in terms of structure, portfolio management and investment suitability.
Her second presentation, titled “Advanced BDCs: Structure, Regulations and Due Diligence,” examines the BDC asset class in terms of laws governing structure, the regulatory landscape, and how to avoid mistakes and pitfalls.
