Payam Siadatpour is a member of Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group, practicing in the areas of securities and corporate governance. Payam advises clients on compliance with the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934. He is a member of a team that regularly assists in matters relating to the establishment and operation of both public and private closed-end funds, including business development companies; the team also assists in the compliance with, and exemptions from, the Investment Company Act of 1940.

Before joining the firm, Payam served as a law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and was an Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia. He also served as a legal adviser to MetroStar Systems, Inc., where he reviewed contracts and advised corporate officers on all aspects of business relationships.

Payam is fluent in Farsi.
