Atlanta and Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2008) – Sutherland is pleased to announce that Felice C. Wagner has joined the firm as Chief Business Development Officer, where she will provide strategic leadership to advance the firm’s business development, marketing and communications efforts.
Before joining Sutherland, Ms. Wagner was CEO of Sugarcrest Development Group, which she founded in 1998 in response to a growing need among law firms for business-development and client-loyalty solutions that deliver immediate results. For the past decade, she has built an industry-leading consulting practice with a loyal client roster that includes major law firms and corporations throughout the United States and Canada.

Ms. Wagner earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and focused her legal practice on antitrust matters. More recently, she helped build and manage two of the largest legal staffing firms in the country. She was intimately involved in developing the DuPont Legal Model and played a significant role in planning and implementing the first Conference on Women and the Practice of Law for DuPont. Before beginning her legal career, she served her country as a Russian linguist in the United States Air Force.
Ms. Wagner is the former president of the Legal Marketing Association's Capital Chapter, which won LMA Chapter of the Year honors during her tenure as president, and is a regular speaker at industry events and firm retreats. Her articles on business development and client loyalty have appeared in several print and Web publications such as Of Counsel, The American Bar Association's Law Practice Today, Marketing for Lawyers, Legal Times, Strategies: The Journal of Legal Marketing, Law.com, FindLaw and lexisONE.
