Meghan Gruebner represents clients before the primary federal governmental bodies charged with energy oversight, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Before joining Sutherland, Meghan worked as an energy associate at a Washington, D.C., law firm. Also, from 2007 to 2010, she served as attorney advisor to several judges at the FERC, including Deputy Chief Judge Bobbie J. McCartney, Judge Joseph R. Nacy and Judge Edward M. Silverstein. While there, she supported these judges in an array of electric, oil pipeline and natural gas industry proceedings involving issues under the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act, and Interstate Commerce Act. Her work included analyzing transmission and market structures of the electric power industry and interstate natural gas and oil pipeline rates and terms and conditions of service.
