Elizabeth Lester is a member of Sutherland’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, where she focuses her practice on domestic and international patent prosecution for chemical and biomedical technologies. She has particular experience in the areas of polymer materials and packaging; consumer products; and medical devices, such as drug delivery systems, surgical tools and biosensors. Elizabeth’s practice also involves intellectual property counseling related to the preparation and negotiation of license and supply agreements, preparation of patentability and freedom-to-operate opinions, and patent portfolio management.

Prior to her legal career, Elizabeth conducted extensive research in the areas of chemical and biomedical engineering, focusing on immunology and tissue engineering, cancer metastasis and reactor design.

Elizabeth is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
