Kirstin Gibbs, the Chair of the Natural Gas Regulatory Group, focuses her practice on counseling clients on a wide variety of transportation and storage issues related to natural gas before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), federal appellate courts and state utility commissions. Specifically, she advises natural gas pipelines, traders, marketers, local distribution companies and end users on FERC compliance and enforcement issues, as well as all aspects of rate, policy and legislative issues involving natural gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG). Kirstin also provides regulatory and transactional advice to major oil producers and pipeline companies located in the U.S. and operating in the Gulf of Mexico.

Kirstin counsels international and U.S.-based clients in connection with LNG issues such as supply, siting, regulatory, maritime, commercial, project development and other matters affecting the LNG industry. She has been closely involved in the reactivation and expansion of the Cove Point Terminal, as well as matters involving the Elba Island, Everett and Lake Charles facilities, the Snøhvit liquefaction project in Norway and a major project in Russia. In addition, Kirstin handles various commercial and regulatory issues affecting terminals and caverns involving LNG imports.
