Kevin King, a member of Sutherland’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and chair of the Group’s Medical Devices Practice Team, focuses his practice on domestic and international patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling related to chemical, mechanical and biomedical technologies, with particular experience in the area of medical devices, such as drug delivery systems, implantable biological tissues, surgical adhesives, pharmaceutical formulations, surgical tools and biosensors. His clients include early-stage companies, publicly traded companies, universities, cardiologists and urologists. Kevin’s practice also involves negotiating IP license agreements, patent portfolio management, and rendering patentability, validity, and product clearance opinions.

Prior to his legal career, Kevin was a process engineer, working with pulp and paper, polymer and inorganic chemical processing industries.

Kevin is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
