John Fleming, who has twice served as Practice Group Leader of Sutherland’s Litigation Practice Group, has more than 35 years of experience that encompasses a wide range of litigation areas. He has litigated in state and federal courts and focuses his practice on complex business litigation including securities litigation, professional liability litigation, intellectual property litigation, major litigation involving insurance companies and tax litigation. His diverse experience has served him well as an attorney and as an arbitrator in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms including international arbitration forums.

Before joining the firm, John served as a law clerk in Dallas to the Honorable Irving Goldberg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. John also served for five years as an adjunct professor in the Pretrial Litigation course at Emory University Law School.
