REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Jim’s extensive experience includes:
- Representing a private investor in connection with the purchase of a troubled shopping center from a foreclosing lender.
- Representing one of the country’s largest privately held retail developers in connection with the acquisition, leasing and development and sale of more than three million square feet of retail shopping center space in markets across the Southeast.
- Representing the purchaser of a defaulted note and mortgage, foreclosure of income producing property securing such note, and pursuit of guarantor as to a deficiency claim.
- Representing a privately held retail developer in connection with the acquisition, development and leasing of a shopping center consisting of more than one million square feet and the sale of such shopping center for an excess of $100 million.
- Representing a privately held real estate developer in the development and leasing of office buildings in Charleston and Columbia, South Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia, and in the development leasing and sale of call/data centers located in Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee and Texas.
- Representing a mezzanine lender as to a distressed residential condominium building converted to rental apartment use.
- Representing one of the country’s largest retailers in connection with the acquisition and development of retail stores across the United States and in connection with the establishment and rollout of its retail program in Mexico.
- Representing a privately held retail developer in connection with the acquisition, leasing and development of more than two million square feet of retail shopping center space in Alabama, Georgia and North Carolina.
