Eric Tresh is a member of Sutherland’s Tax Practice Group and focuses his practice on state and local tax matters including tax controversies and litigation, tax planning and policy, and mergers and acquisitions. He assists clients with all types of state and local taxes. Eric serves as national multi-state tax counsel for large corporations located throughout the United States.

Prior to joining the firm, Eric was a partner in KPMG’s state and local tax practice. While there, he served on the state tax leadership team and provided state tax planning and consulting services to many of its largest clients, including serving as the lead state tax partner for Sprint’s SEC audit engagement.

Eric frequently speaks and writes about state and local tax issues for groups including the Council On State Taxation (COST) and the Tax Executives Institute (TEI).
