Doyle Campbell is a member of Sutherland’s Corporate Practice Group, focusing on corporate and securities law, including public offerings, derivatives, corporate governance matters, mergers and acquisitions involving both public and private companies and other financial transactions entered into by hedge funds and other financial institutions. He regularly represents public and private companies, private equity firms, venture capital firms and hedge funds in a variety of corporate and transactional matters.
Doyle has significant experience negotiating and documenting International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) master agreements, cleared derivatives documentation, master repurchase agreements, collateral and other credit support documents, prime brokerage agreements, and securities lending agreements. He also advises clients on compliance with the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

Doyle’s recent representative experience includes:
Derivatives
- Representing the 12 Federal Home Loan Banks in connection with implementation of the new Dodd-Frank regulatory regime for derivatives, including commenting on numerous CFTC rulemakings and advising with respect to new documentation for cleared and uncleared swaps.
- Representing buy-side firms in development of new standard documentation for cleared swaps under the auspices of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) and the amendment of existing Master Agreement documentation for uncleared swaps under the auspices of the ISDA.
- On behalf of buy-side firms, developing model documentation for ISDA Master Agreements and Credit Support Documents as well as master repurchase agreements.
Financial Services/M&A
- Representing Great-West Lifeco Inc., a financial services holding company controlled by Canada-based Power Financial Corporation, in its acquisition of Putnam Investments from Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc., for approximately $3.9 billion.
- Representing Teucrium Trading LLC, the sponsor and commodity pool operator of the Teucrium Corn Fund, an exchange-traded fund, in connection with its formation and financing.
- Representing business development companies (BDCs) in connection with their formations and initial public offerings.
- Representing BDCs in connection with their investments in portfolio companies, senior debt, mezzanine finance, growth and other funds.
