The program will address the various methods of acquiring distressed real estate (buying the note, buying at the foreclosure sale and buying the property from the foreclosing lender); the lender's perspective in selling distressed real estate and debt; the tax consequences of distressed real estate transactions; public/private partnership arrangements currently available to purchase distressed real estate; and current capital sources for distressed real estate acquisitions.
