Cherie is an associate in the Tax Group.

Cherie received a B.A. in Economics from Spelman College where she was a member of the Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Program and Bonner Community Scholars Program. Before going to law school, Cherie taught in the Atlanta Public School System and participated in the Urban Accelerated Certification and Master's Program at Georgia State University's Graduate School of Education.

She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law where she served on the Editorial Board and as Notes Editor for the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. Cherie was an active member of the Equal Justice Foundation, as she served both as a Section Representative and as Auction Chairperson for the organization.

Before joining the firm, she held a legal internship with the Association of Corporate Counsel where she worked closely with General Counsel and Associate General Counsel at Cox Communications, Bank of America, The Facility Group, and Employment Learning Innovations. Cherie was also a Summer Associate at Sutherland in Washington D.C. and Atlanta.
