Ben Norris is a member of Sutherland’s Energy and Environmental Practice Group, where he advises clients on energy legislative and policy matters, various litigation matters in state and federal courts and before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), economic sanctions, lobbying registration and compliance, and oil spill planning and risk management.
 
In addition, Ben serves on Sutherland’s Climate Change law team, working with clients to identify and capitalize on opportunities and respond to business challenges impacted by climate change policies and regulations.

Before law school, Ben worked for the speechwriter for the Honorable Gordon R. England, then Secretary of the Navy, at the Pentagon, as well as for Platts’ Gas Daily and Megawatt Daily in Houston.
