Ben’s recent representative experience includes:
- Advising clients on legislative and policy matters related to climate change, environmental regulation of exploration and production (E&P) activities, renewable energy, international trade and foreign relations.
- Representing a major European oil company in a class action antitrust suit in federal court.
- Representing a crude trading concern in a suit against a major refiner relating to the quality of delivered products.
- Advising timber interest on carbon offset project and sale of carbon credits.
- Representing a commodities broker in several disputes related to futures contracts in federal and state courts and international arbitration.
- Advising multinational oil companies and investment banks on U.S. and U.N. sanction regimes.
- Representing a state-owned oil company before U.S. government in matters related to a major international pipeline project.
- Advising commodities traders on oil, liquefied natural gas (LNG), ethanol, and other product-spill liability in various international jurisdictions.
