Alice Murtos has been providing employee benefits and executive compensation advice for nearly 20 years, dealing with both tax and ERISA issues. Her practice with Sutherland's Tax Practice Group spans a broad spectrum of industries, including financial services, insurance, retirement plan products, and real estate investments.

Alice has significant experience advising plan sponsors, service providers and investment funds with respect to ERISA plan assets. She routinely represents clients in controversies and voluntary compliance matters before the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Department of Labor. In addition, her practice involves advising with respect to qualified retirement plans, welfare benefit plans, nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements, stock-based compensation plans, and other executive compensation techniques. Alice also has extensive experience advising clients on employee benefits issues related to corporate transactions and assisting them with benefits integration following such transactions.
