REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE Abigail’s recent representative experience includes:
- Successfully defending employers in discrimination matters before federal and state courts and in proceedings before government agencies, including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
- Representing clients in proceedings before the U.S. Department of Labor regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act, the whistle-blower protections of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and the affirmative action requirements of Executive Order 11,246.
- Obtaining a decision affirming summary judgment in the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit concerning race and gender discrimination claims.
- Conducting internal investigations on behalf of companies for employment-related issues.
- Providing sexual harassment and discrimination training to management and staff employees.
