Tom Dugan represents clients in a broad range of commercial real estate transactions.
He provides counsel to master and special servicers in the acquisition of servicing rights for structured finance transactions for agency, CMBS and single-asset single-borrower securitizations. Tom also works with primary servicers on lender requests, including assumptions, significant modifications and ownership transfers for securitized loans, and with special servicers on their defaulted loan assets.
Tom also advises property owners on matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of their commercial real estate investments and portfolios. Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, he worked at another law firm in Washington, D.C., with a focus on representing lenders in the origination of multifamily agency loans.
- Represented leading Washington DC-based developers in connection with several bridge/repositioning loans for re-tenanting of office complexes in suburban Washington DC.
- Completed interim master and special servicing agreements for balance sheet and securitized loan products with some of the country’s largest originators and securitization issuers.
- Represented an Asian-based investor in connection with its $130 million acquisition of a 500-acre leading conference facility resort and spa in the Washington DC metropolitan area and related wellness initiatives.
