Stephanie Kinzel-Tapper is an experienced litigator with a focus on complex commercial and energy disputes. She represents a diverse set of energy clients, including upstream, midstream and downstream participants, with a primary focus on upstream and midstream operators. Her commercial clients include commercial tenants, joint venture partners and healthcare facilities. Stephanie has litigated cases in numerous state and federal courts.
Before joining Sutherland, Stephanie was an associate with an international law firm in Houston where she focused on energy and commercial litigation. Stephanie also interned for the Honorable Sara Vance of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Sutherland represented a joint venture partner in a dispute over the operation of a pipeline.
Sutherland defends technology company against claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of confidentiality agreements.
Sutherland won a stay for the defendant in a Texas action to allow an earlier action filed in Norway to proceed in the defense of claims brought by a technology company. The case involved the development of multiphase well meters used to measure the flow of oil, gas and water production.
