Nash is an intellectual property partner who serves as Partner-in-Charge of the Eversheds Sutherland Austin office.
He advises clients on patent portfolio management and other intellectual property needs, including trademarks and copyright. Nash also drafts and prosecutes domestic and foreign patent applications in the electrical and computer fields. His technical knowledge spans software and hardware areas, including mobility innovations, wireless standards, wireless charging devices, web security, voice over IP, cloud services, messaging systems, automotive technologies, semiconductors, memory storage devices, robotics, superconductors, printing devices, display technologies and imaging systems. Nash also has extensive engineering experience in cellular communications, including GSM, CDMA and LTE.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland (US), he was an associate at a leading law firm in Boston where he managed client patent portfolios and participated in successful litigation lawsuits, which included conducting invalidity and non-infringement analyses for cases related to LTE and CDMA products. Nash also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Samuel Der-Yeghiayan of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in Chicago. Before entering law school, he worked at a large telecommunication company for more than a decade as a telecommunication engineer.
Nash is admitted to the Massachusetts and the USPTO bars. His work is supervised by State Bar of Texas members.
