Michael Mannino advises publicly held and private firms in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, corporate governance, venture capital investments, private placements of securities, and exit strategies. He also counsels developers, investors and businesses in a variety of real estate matters, including real estate financing and the acquisition and disposition of properties.

Prior to joining Sutherland, Michael worked as an extern for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where he assisted in the covert investigation of possible federal security law violations, including a national insider trading network that eventually became the subject of high profile civil and criminal proceedings. He also served as a law clerk for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s (CFTC) Office of the General Counsel in Washington, DC, where he participated in the rulemaking process for the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
