Mark Wasserman has been the Managing Partner of Sutherland for eight years. He leads the firm’s lawyers and staff in collaborating to provide high quality, efficient and creative service to the firm’s clients.
With more than 25 years of experience, Mark is a seasoned corporate lawyer who has represented and advised private and public companies, both in the United States and internationally. He counsels clients on a broad spectrum of business matters, especially mergers and acquisitions and issues relating to federal and state securities laws.
Prior to being elected Managing Partner in 2005, Mark served as co-chair of Sutherland’s Corporate Transactional team and was a member of its Executive Committee.
Sutherland counsels United States Filter Corporation on nearly 150 M&A deals.
Sutherland served as primary U.S. mergers and acquisitions counsel for United States Filter Corporation, which at the time was the world's largest and fastest growing water and wastewater management company. Sutherland completed more than 150 acquisitions and dispositions for this client over a 15-year period.
Sutherland counsels Siemens AG on acquisition of water treatment company.
Siemens AG engaged Sutherland for representation in its acquisition of a designer, engineer and manufacturer of water treatment process equipment used by the oil and gas industry.
