Liz Williamson counsels energy clients on environmental regulations under state and federal law, with an emphasis on Clean Air Act issues, such as compliance, enforcement and strategy related to new source review (NSR) enforcement and the implementation of Clean Air Act settlements. She also counsels clients on compliance with all environmental regulations, including the mercury and air toxics standards (MATS), and all aspects of new and existing permitting. Liz also has experience in performing due diligence and advising on corporate asset transactions.
Liz conducts Clean Air Act audits for utility clients, including electric cooperatives, and provides day-to-day advice and analysis concerning reporting documentation for consent decrees, including those related to EPA Regions 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9.
Liz represents clients in both contentious and transactional matters. She leverages her knowledge of air-related issues to support litigation efforts and has represented clients in trial.
