After developing proficiency in academia, with a Ph.D., and in the insurance industry, Linda Berry brought her skills to Sutherland’s insurance practice. Linda Berry uses her academic background and experience in property and casualty insurance to aid clients in the areas of insurance and reinsurance, including policy drafting and program reviews. She advises on all areas of captive insurance company work, by helping incorporate and license captives as well as advising on regulatory, compliance and corporate matters, including mergers and redomestications. In a few cases, she helped companies with dissolutions and liquidations. She works on insurance holding company restructurings involving assumption reinsurance.
Linda earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of South Carolina, following her master of arts degree from Northwestern University and her B.A. from the Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia. Linda is a member of the Connecticut and the New York bars.
