Clients look to Larry for newer, better and more creative ways to resolve complex legal issues. He has a focused outlook that adds value to his clients’ bottom line through effective project management, better execution and higher standards of performance. He gets to personally know each of his clients and understands their individual business needs.
Larry represents clients in a wide variety of complex commercial, construction, financial services, real estate and white-collar litigation and arbitration across the country. As part of the Sutherland Construction Industry Practice Group, he represents construction managers, general contractors, industrial contractors, specialty contractors and their surety companies in disputes related to complex construction projects, including breach of contract, change orders, schedule delays, lost productivity, mechanics’ lien issues, payment and performance bonds and insurance. Larry’s practice also involves process safety litigation, occupational health and safety litigation, and industrial and construction workplace incident response. He is a member of Sutherland’s Crisis Management Team.
When alleged violations arise, Larry guides internal investigations, prepares strategic responses to inquiries and defends entities in connection with investigations and enforcement actions brought by government agencies. Larry has defended both corporations and individuals in enforcement actions concerning alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practice Act and federal and state false claims acts, insider trading, and securities and commodities fraud.
From 2002 through 2003, Larry served as a law clerk to the Honorable Maurice M. Paul of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
