Jeremy Spier counsels clients on patent and intellectual property law including international and domestic IP rights management and strategy, patent and trademark procurement, copyrights, opinions and clearance studies, patent reexamination and reissue, IP audits and due diligence in corporate transactions and licensing. He also represents clients engaged in patent infringement litigation. Jeremy is particularly experienced serving clients in the computer, software, electronics and electro-mechanical devices categories, as well as consumer products more broadly.
Before joining Sutherland as an associate, Jeremy served as a patent and trademark attorney in Florida, where he prepared and prosecuted patent, trademark and copyright applications. His technological experience includes mechanical systems, medical devices, imaging systems and security devices. He earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 2006.
