Gus Narvaez is a patent agent in the Intellectual Property Practice Group. His work involves preparation and prosecution of patent applications filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Gus has a technical background in nanotechnology and previously worked as a scientist and research associate, conducting research related to electrochromic materials, and semiconductor and metal nanostructures. His research included computation of electronic structure and optical properties employing atomistic models of various complexity (effective potentials, tight-binding, pseudopotentials, etc.) and quantum chemistry approaches.
Gus’ early research included measuring the optical properties of semiconductor low-dimensional structures and the transport properties of high-temperature superconductors.
He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
