Cristopher Jones focuses his practice on employee benefits and executive compensation matters. He advises clients of all sizes on the design and administration of retirement, health care, employee compensation and wellness arrangements. Cristopher also counsels employee benefit plan administrators and trustees concerning their fiduciary obligations.
Additionally, Cristopher advises public and private companies on employee benefits issues related to mergers, acquisitions and debt offerings. He also helps employers, benefit plans and healthcare companies comply with HIPAA’s privacy, security and breach notification rules.
Before joining Sutherland, Cristopher was an employee benefits and executive compensation attorney at a law firm in Baltimore, Maryland. His previous experience includes serving as benefits counsel to a Fortune 50 financial services company, as a law clerk for the United States Department of Justice and as a legal extern for the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
