Andrew M.


Andrew McCormick’s principal practice is conducting internal investigations for broker-dealers, investment advisers, and insurance firms and representing financial firms and their individual representatives in investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He also represents broker-dealers and brokers in customer arbitrations and lawsuits and counsels them on regulatory and compliance matters. In addition, Andrew represents insurance companies and other corporations in disability cases in federal and state courts. Andrew has also served as pro bono counsel in a number of immigration and custody cases.

Before joining Sutherland, Andrew participated in the firm’s 2008 Summer Associate Program. He also was a law and policy fellow at the American Council on Renewable Energy, and a law and development volunteer for Citipointe International Care and Aid in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Andrew is a member of Sutherland’s rock and roll band that has performed at charity events in the Washington, DC area.
