WASHINGTON (February 8, 2011) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP represented Ares Capital Corporation in its $500 million convertible bond offering – the largest ever by a business development company. The private offering involved 5.75% Convertible Senior Notes due 2016. Ares also granted initial purchasers an option to buy up to an additional $75 million of the Convertible Senior Notes to cover any over-allotments.
