Sutherland Represents Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative in Acquisition of Sumpter Plant

ATLANTA (April 5, 2010) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP advised Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative in its acquisition of Sumpter Plant, a 340-megawatt (MW), gas-fired peaking facility in southern Michigan, from FirstEnergy Generation Corp. The transaction closed March 31.

The Sutherland team was led by Energy and Environmental Partners Herbert J. Short, Jr. and Thomas H. Warren in Atlanta and included Energy and Environmental Partners Peter A.
