ATLANTA (August 30, 2004) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP has represented longstanding client TIAA-CREF, one of the nation's largest commercial property owners, through a $200 million acquisition of the Pinnacle Office Building and the adjacent Two Live Oak Center, both built by Cousins Properties Incorporated and located in the Buckhead section of Atlanta, GA.
The transaction closed on August 2, 2004, taking only 45 days from contract signing to closing and involving due diligence and title review. The acquiring entity is ND Properties, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of TIAA-CREF. As part of the sale, TIAA-CREF has retained Cousins to lease and manage the buildings.
