HOUSTON (March 8, 2011) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP has been recognized as the Eighth Largest Law Firm in Houston by the Houston Business Journal as part of the publication’s special feature on law. The recently released report ranks Sutherland eighth out of 25 Houston area law firms based on the number of local lawyers.
The Houston office has expanded significantly in recent years and has more than 35 attorneys and more than 70 contract attorneys providing Corporate, Energy and Environmental, and Litigation services to clients in the banking, financial services, insurance, and energy industries. Notable additions to the office include former Texas Judge Kent Sullivan; former general counsel of Florida’s Department of Environmental Protection, Teri Donaldson; and energy M&A heavyweight, Benjamin Clark.
The Houston office is led by co-partners-in-charge Paul Turner and Rachel Giesber Clingman.
