About People of Hope People of Hope is a nonprofit organization founded by low-income, multicultural families who were displaced when a mobile home park was shut down to build a luxury apartment complex. Forty-three families created People of Hope with the mission to build Georgia’s first permanently affordable, resident-controlled manufactured housing community. The model was based on more than 80 successful parks in New Hampshire and Vermont. The 17.2-acre site will have 26 single and 14 multi-section home lots and will be equipped with a community center building, playground, picnic area and walking trails.
