NEW YORK (July 23, 2012) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Partner Robert D. Owen has been named to the Educational Advisory Cabinet for the Masters Conference. The annual Masters Conference, an exclusive legal education experience, brings together experts and leading professionals from across the nation to discuss strategies, practices and resources for managing the information life cycle.
As part of the educational advisory cabinet, Mr. Owen will work with other cabinet members to determine the educational content for the conference. He will help select the thought-leading experts who will deliver the content at the event, which will be held on October 8, 2012, in Washington, D.C. Previously, Mr. Owen served as the conference chairman.

Mr. Owen, a partner in Sutherland’s Litigation Practice Group, has handled hundreds of cases before federal and state courts and arbitration panels throughout the United States. Mr. Owen is widely recognized for his leadership in e-discovery and litigation management. A frequent speaker and writer on e-discovery topics, currently he is a member of the editorial advisory board of Law Technology News, a participant in the Managing Information and Records in the Electronic Age working group of The Sedona Conference, and is listed as a leading individual (Band 1) by Chambers Global and Chambers USA in the Litigation: E-Discovery field.
