HOUSTON (October 7, 2010) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announces its Corporate Partner Annette L. Tripp has been elected to the board of directors for the Texas Association of Bank Counsel (TABC). Ms. Tripp’s election was announced during the TABC’s 34th Annual Convention in Austin, Texas.

Her work with Sutherland’s banking and financial institution clients will provide notable insights to assist the TABC and its board members."
TABC is a Texas nonprofit corporation. TABC’s 15-member board of directors, along with the association’s officers and immediate past president, serve as its governing body. The directors’ terms are for three years, with one-third of the 15 elected each year.
Ms. Tripp focuses her practice on bank and financial services regulatory law and on mergers and acquisitions, including public and private transactions, for banks, thrifts and other financial institutions. Her experience includes conflict-of-interest matters, affiliate and insider transactions, corporate governance, proxy contests, change-in-control procedures, policy review, executive compensation, corporate applications and general regulatory compliance issues. She previously served as a TABC director in 2002-2005.
