Sutherland Participates in ACC’s 2010 Annual Meeting: Four Attorneys Will Present and Firm Will Co-Host Cocktail Reception with ACC’s Energy Committee

ATLANTA and WASHINGTON (October 18, 2010)Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announces it is serving as a gold sponsor for the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Association of Corporate Counsel being held October 24-27, in San Antonio, Texas. Four Sutherland attorneys will present during three of the meeting’s programs, and Sutherland will co-host a cocktail reception with the ACC’s Energy Committee.

Which Way is the Wind Blowing Today? A Practical Review of the Legal Implications of Climate  Change  (Session 708)

As part of Sutherland’s national Energy Committee sponsorship, Sutherland is hosting a cocktail reception and tequila tasting on Sunday, October 24, at Sazo’s Latin Grill in the Marriott Rivercenter.

“We will begin the annual meeting celebrating and enjoying San Antonio with the ACC’s Energy Committee," said Energy and Environmental Partner Kirstin E. Gibbs, who is the Sutherland partner responsible for the Energy Committee sponsorship. “This reception continues our successful alliance, and we look forward to seeing our clients and friends there."

The primary purpose of the ACC’s Energy Committee is to promote the objectives of the ACC within the field of energy law, provide a forum for exchange of information and ideas relating to energy law among in-house counsel, serve as an educational resource to in-house energy attorneys, and combine the experience of its members to benefit the energy legal community. The committee offers resources such as monthly Legal Quick Hits on hot topics in energy law, Webinars and white papers. Sutherland is the 2010 sponsor of the ACC’s Energy Committee and has provided seven Legal Quick Hits, two Webinars and a FERC InfoPak to its members so far this year.
