NEW YORK (March 8, 2011) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Kenneth C.H. Willig has joined the firm as a Partner in the Energy and Environmental Practice Group based in the firm’s New York office. Ken has 30 years of experience representing energy clients in international and domestic structured and project finance matters.

Ken has represented U.S. and foreign financial institutions providing non-recourse and limited recourse financing under various structures to projects around the world. He has served as senior counsel to governments, developers and other project participants in oil and gas, independent power, petrochemicals, telecommunications, water, wastewater, and other large projects.
Before joining Sutherland, Ken was the global co-chair of the Commercial Practice Group at DLA Piper, which included the energy, infrastructure, project finance, structured finance, joint ventures, and franchising and distribution practices.
