WASHINGTON (March 8, 2005) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP today announced that Kevin A. Zambrowicz has joined the firm as a Partner in the Financial Services Group. Mr. Zambrowicz focuses his practice in advising financial institutions, broker-dealers, and investment managers on an assortment of matters including banking and securities regulatory issues, legislation, and new product development.
Sutherland has a leading financial services practice, including the representation of mutual funds and their service providers, broker-dealers and asset managers. The firm also has a preeminent practice representing issuers and distributors of variable annuities, variable life insurance and other investment-oriented insurance products.
Mr. Zambrowicz has extensive private practice and government experience regarding cutting-edge issues affecting broker-dealers and banks. He specializes in the evolving and complex areas where banking, securities, asset management and derivatives law converge. Mr. Zambrowicz is one of a hand-full of lawyers who has both private practice and regulatory agency experience on these complex and detailed legal issues.

Mr. Zambrowicz joins Sutherland from another national law firm where he represented a broad range of clients on all aspects of their business operations. Prior to returning to private practice, Mr. Zambrowicz also held the position of Special Counsel in the Office of Chief Counsel, Division of Market Regulation at the Securities and Exchange Commission. While at the SEC, Mr. Zambrowicz worked on many high profile matters, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
Mr. Zambrowicz is the author of numerous articles analyzing various issues affecting the financial services industry and is a frequent speaker at seminars. He earned his J.D., graduating magna cum laude, from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he was an Editor of The Catholic University Law Review. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, in philosophy from The Catholic University of America.
