Sutherland Chief Client Service Officer Felice Wagner Inducted Into LMA International Hall of Fame

March 15, 2012

WASHINGTON (March 15, 2012) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to announce that Chief Client Service Officer Felice C. Wagner was inducted into The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) International Hall of Fame.

Ms. Wagner, one of two members in the 2012 inductee class, joins only 17 professionals who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception five years ago. The Hall of Fame Award celebrates individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal marketing industry and the Legal Marketing Association. The honor represents the highest levels of experience and leadership in legal marketing and recognizes contributions made by individuals for the benefit of the industry, the association and its community of professionals.

“In my opinion, there is no one more deserving of this honor than Felice," said Sutherland Managing Partner Mark D. Wasserman. “Felice helps us maintain a daily focus on delivering superior client service and expanding our client relationships, which directly contributes to the overall success of the firm."

At Sutherland, Ms. Wagner leads the client and practice development department – focusing on results, delivering new business growth and guiding the team to serve as strategic business advisers. Her impact at Sutherland is seen in programs she launched, including the LMA Your Honor Award-winning Sutherland Business Development Curriculum and Sutherland Legal Project Management program.

Prior to joining Sutherland, as founder and CEO of Sugarcrest Development Group, Felice spent more than a decade advising law firms on building business development strategies and client loyalty solutions. Ms. Wagner, a frequent author and guest speaker, also formerly practiced law. She earned a juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991. Early in her career, Ms. Wagner played a key role in the development of the DuPont Legal Model, which continues to influence how businesses hire outside counsel.

Since joining LMA in 1999, Ms. Wagner has held various leadership roles, including serving as Capital Chapter president in 2004 when the local group was named LMA “Chapter of the Year." In 2008, she served as co-chair of the national conference, which set attendance records. Currently, Ms. Wagner chairs the LMA – Association of Corporate Counsel Advisory Council, a collaborative liaison between ACC leadership and the LMA community to provide ideas and feedback on ACC programs.
