WASHINGTON (November 10, 2004) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP announced that Bibb L. Strench has joined the firm as Partner in the Financial Services Group. His practice focuses on securities laws.
Mr. Strench advises mutual funds and other registered investment companies as well as investment management advisers, sponsors of hedge funds, and financial institutions offering private wealth management programs. He is a nationally recognized author and speaker on establishing and implementing compliance programs.

Mr. Strench has previously practiced law at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the division regulating investment companies and advisers. He also was responsible for investment management regulatory compliance at a large mutual fund complex. Mr. Strench received his J.D. from the University of Virginia and his B.A., magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University.
