ATLANTA (October 13, 2003) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan is pleased to announce that Cheryl Haas-Goldstein has been selected to participate in the Anti-Defamation League's 2003-2004 Steinberg Leadership Institute. Out of a very strong applicant pool, Ms. Haas-Goldstein was one of only 32 participants in Atlanta to be chosen. The participants, who are from a variety of fields including law, business, engineering, and education, are chosen by the Anti-Defamation League and other community leaders to participate.
The Steinberg Leadership Institute was initiated in 1999 to educate the next generation of leaders in the Metro Atlanta Jewish Community about the Anti-Defamation League's mission to combat hate and bigotry, fight anti-Semitism, defend civil rights, protect religious freedom, ensure the separation between church and state, and teach diversity and cultural understanding. Steinberg participants meet monthly and engage in high-level briefings with top government officials and decision-makers. The participants also take part in advocacy on Capitol Hill with elected officials.
Ms. Haas-Goldstein focuses her legal practice in the areas of securities fraud, federal and state RICO cases, energy-related litigation and other complex commercial litigation.
