Sutherland Asbill & Brennan Expands White Collar Capabilities Adding Litigation Partners Deborah G. Heilizer and Jennifer M. Moore

NEW YORK and WASHINGTON (October 21, 2005) – Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP is pleased to welcome new partners Deborah G. Heilizer and Jennifer M. Moore to the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.  Ms. Heilizer joins the Washington office focusing on securities enforcement and litigation.  Ms. Moore joins the New York office focusing on white collar crime matters.

Ms. Heilizer has extensive experience representing public companies and individuals in a wide range of securities matters with emphasis on accounting and financial issues, regulatory enforcement and litigation involving the SEC, self-regulatory organizations and private litigants.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Heilizer was Director and Senior Counsel at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, the retail brokerage division of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., where she conducted arbitrations, and represented the firm and individuals in connection with regulatory matters.  Ms. Heilizer earned her J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of Order of the Coif and Coordinating Editor of Northwestern University Law Review.  She earned her B.A., with honors, from University of Chicago.

Ms. Moore’s practice includes complex white collar cases, including mail and wire fraud, computer crimes, and tax fraud, as well as civil rights cases involving involuntary servitude and forced labor, and immigration offenses.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Moore was the Assistant United States Attorney for the United States Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, Criminal Division, Major Crimes Unit.  Ms. Moore earned her J.D. from Yale Law School, where she was Executive Editor of Yale Law Review.  She holds both a Ph.D. and an M.A. from Harvard University.  Ms. Moore received her A.B., magna cum laude, from Bowdoin College.
