The CFPB has not done much this week, so this will probably be the shortest update ever. The CFPB has been exploring the possibility of allowing companies to submit proposed advertising to the CFPB, before the advertising is sent to consumers, to allow the CFPB to vet the advertising for potential UDAAP (unfair, deceptive, abusive acts or practices.) If you want to comment on the potential trial disclosure program go here.
Providing comments and participating in the program will be a great opportunity for you to get ahead of any UDAAP issues.
