Catherine M. Krupka, Energy and Environmental Partner and Chair of Sutherland’s Electric Regulatory Team, comments on the pending rules under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, saying "I think people are trying to figure out: ‘Where am I going to spend my money?'" Krupka, on the potential new margin requirements commercial end users may face in swap transactions, further commented, "I think energy firms are torn between making investments they really need to make … and putting cash aside on the off chance they are going to have to post margin."
