ISO New England, operator of the region’s power grid, filed provisions at FERC to govern grid operations in the event of a significant disruption of LNG supplies used by Boston-area power generators. The action was taken in response to the recent cancellation of imported LNG cargoes from Yemen to Distrigas’ LNG terminal at Everett, Mass., due to a militant attack on the Yemeni gas supply line. The ISO's filing can be found in FERC’s eLibrary under Docket No. ER12-1809.
