The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has issued a tolling order which extends indefinitely the date by which DOE must act on Sierra Club’s request for rehearing and stay of DOE’s order authorizing Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC to export LNG from its LNG terminal in Sabine Pass, La. to nations without a Free Trade Agreement with the United States. In the absence of the tolling order, Sierra Club’s request for rehearing would have been deemed denied by operation of law within 30 days of the date it was filed. The tolling order can be found on DOE’s website under Docket No. 10-111-LNG.
