Calypso U.S. Pipeline, LLC informed FERC this week that it has decided to abandon a proposed project to import LNG to a regasification facility located in the Bahamas and transport the regasified natural gas to Florida via pipeline. In its letter to FERC, available in the Commission’s eLibrary under Docket No. CP01-409, Calypso stated that it is surrendering its authorization to construct the pipeline and its Presidential Permit to import the natural gas.
