In a letter issued yesterday, FERC determined that the proposal to construct and operate a natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction facility at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal is not subject to the Commission’s mandatory pre-filing procedures. However, the letter, available in FERC’s eLibrary, notes that Sabine Pass LNG must comply with the application process under Section 3 of the Natural Gas Act to obtain authorization for its NGL facility.
